Step 1: Overly Critical Self-Reflection
- Take an exhaustive look at your past decisions. Question every single one of them.
- Identify the ones that didn't turn out exactly as planned.
- Rehash the ones that did turn out well, but only to rehash them again, and again, and again.
Step 2: Inflated Expectations
- Set unrealistically high expectations for yourself and others.
- When those expectations aren't met, blame others.
- Repeat the phrase "I'm a special snowflake" until it's etched into your psyche.
Step 3: Unsubstantiated Ranting
- Find the most obscure, unrelated studies and statistics to justify your point.
- Use them as a basis for a 10-minute diatribe on social media.
- Conclude with "Science says so, so I'm right."
