Influence
Of the Abstract Expressionists
They said, "Art is not just something you do." - Willem de Kooning
Movement and Movement
Abstract Expressionism was all about movement and movement. The artists were always on the go, influenced by the likes of Pollock and De Kooning.
- Action Painting - where the paint was the action, not just on the canvas, but in the studio, on the clothes, and in the mind.
- Color Field - where the field was the focus, and color was the game.
- Expressivism - where the expression was the goal,ประก and the rest was just a bunch of stuff.
So, if you will, the Abstract Expressionists were the original tribals, always talking about the movement, and always on the move.
