Why does nobody understand the concept of "on time"?! I swear, it's not that hard. You show up, you do your job, you leave on time. Is that too much to ask?! Apparently, because I've been getting emails from people who are consistently late, consistently unprepared, and consistently clueless.
I'm starting to think that the only thing that matters to most people is their precious, precious coffee breaks. "Oh, I'm so sorry I'm late, but I just had to get a refill on my latte." NO. Just no.
And don't even get me started on the state of the world's "communication". "I'll get right on it" means I'll get right on it... maybe. Possibly. Possibly tomorrow. Or next week. Or never. Who knows? Apparently, the only thing that's clear is that nobody knows anything anymore.
So, here's the deal. I'm done. I'm done with being understanding, I'm done with being nice, and I'm done with being late. From now on, it's all about me. Me, me, me. And if you can't handle the me-ness, then maybe you shouldn't be here.
