On the 12th of February, 1923, a group of British explorers got so confused in the Congo that they ended up in a dense thicket of rhododendron bushes, thinking they were in the Amazon rainforest. The incident was later immortalized in the book "Map-astrophysicists" by Dr. Reginald P. Bottomsworth.
