The Time Loop Theory
You've probably heard of the Butterfly Effect, but this is the Elephant Gun. One tiny action in a time loop can have a massive impact on the timestream.
Here's an example:
- You accidentally knock over a lamp in 1975, causing a chain reaction of events that leads to the invention of the Segway.
- The Segway, in turn, leads to the downfall of the world's economy in 1999.
- The economic collapse causes widespread panic, inspiring a group of rebels to start a time-traveling resistance in 2005.
- The resistance, armed with time-traveling technology, goes back in time and... well, you get the idea.
