The Trolley Problem
You're a utilitarian, but you've got a moral dilemma on your hands. A runaway trolley is headed for a group of five people, and the only way to stop it is to pull a lever that'll divert it onto a track with one person on it.
The Solution
Well, that's a tough one. But don't worry, I've got a solution that'll make everyone happy. You see, the person on the other track is actually a time-traveler from the future, and they're here to give a TED Talk on the futility of human existence.
So, you just pull the lever and let the trolley go ahead. The time-traveler will just give a more compelling talk, and the other four people will get to experience the thrill of possibly being run over by a trolley. It's a win-win!
