Our hero, John Smith, has managed to break yet another kitchen appliance. This time, it's the toaster.
As he tries to explain to his wife why the toaster exploded in a blaze of fire and despair, he claims he was simply "trying to test its thermal limits."
His wife, understandably, is skeptical.
