A bunch of kids get lost in the park and encounter a creature that's like a mix between a werewolf, a velociraptor, and a rejected member of the Addams Family.

Will byers gets kidnapped by a monster, but it's not just any monster. It's like a 1980s sci-fi movie come to life!

Dustin Henderson, the show's resident nerd, is all like "I told you guys, the government is behind this!"

Eleven, the telekinetic girl with a troubled past, is all like "Can I have a Eggo cookie?"

The kids are all like "Dude, we're in the 80s, we don't have Eggo cookies!"

They all go on a quest to find the monster and save Will, but not before they have to deal with the Upside Down, a place where the laws of physics don't apply.
