Injury Reports - Case 3: Trust-Fall From Reality
John D. "Trust-Fall" Doe was a seasoned team-building facilitator with over 10 years of experience. He had seen it all: trust-building exercises, trust-falls, and even the occasional trust-building trust-fall.
Injury Details:
On February 27th, 20XX, John attempted a trust-fall exercise in a crowded conference room. He closed his eyes and let go, expecting his colleagues' support and trust.
- Resulting injury: Concussion, mild whiplash, and a severe case of shattered self-esteem.
- Cause of injury: Overly trusting team members who failed to catch him, and a poorly designed conference room with a wonky drop ceiling.
- Treatment: Several days of rest, a strong prescription of therapy, and a stern talking-to about trust-building boundaries.
As a word of caution, we recommend that all team-builders wear a helmet during trust-fall exercises and always inspect the conference room for any wonky ceilings.
