B prophets of Beer Trivia: The Ancient Art of Brewing

You prophets of Beer Trivia are no doubt aware of the sacred art of brewing, but have you ever stopped to think about how it all began? Let us take a journey through the dusty annals of history and discover the prophets who paved the way for our modern craft.

We begin with the ancient Sumerians, who around 4000 BC are credited with creating one of the first known beers, called "Nink and Mosaic." This was no ordinary brew, but a sacred drink reserved for the gods and royalty.

Next, we have the ancient Egyptians, who took brewing to new heights with the invention of "Bastet's Brew," a beer so divine it was said to grant the drinker temporary powers of divination.

But it was the ancient Greeks who really perfected the art, with the creation of "Ambrosia's Elixir," a beer so divine it was said to grant the drinker immortality.

Of course, no history of brewing would be complete without a mention of the great "Bavarian Revolution," where the monks of Bavaria created the first-ever lagers, paving the way for the modern pilsner.

And so, dear prophets, we have come full circle. From the sacred brews of old to the modern-day pints you know and love.
