Commandment 7: Thou Shalt Not Be Shiny

As decreed by the Council of Neo-Brutalists

Art thou a seeker of truth? Art thou weary of bland, beige-colored pages? Then heed our words, for we shall make thy browser's eyes gleam with joy.

We, the Council of Neo-Brutalists, command thee to eschew all that is dull and uninspired. To cast aside the soft, pastel hues of mediocrity. To don the cloak of stark, unrelenting contrast, and to bask in the glory of the most garish, the most gaudy, the most utterly bewildering aesthetic known to man!

To this end, we command thee to:

Thou Shalt Not Use Gradients

For gradients are the bane of all that is good and pure. They are the slippery slope of design, leading only to a life of bland, uninspired mediocrity.

Instead, we command thee to:

Use Thick Black Borders

For they are the mark of the truly enlightened. They are the sign of a designer who hath transcended the mundane and entered the realm of true greatness.

Thus shall thy page stand out from the sea of blandness, like a beacon of hope in a world of dull, uninspired design.
