The Ten Commandments of Neo-Brutalism

At the heart of our movement lies our sacred code.

  1. Thou shalt use only high-contrast colors, lest thy site be as dull as a beige wall.
  2. Thou shalt eschew the gentle touch, for harsh lines and sharp edges are the mark of a true Neo-Brutalist.
  3. Thou shalt never, ever, use a rounded corner, for they are the devil's own tricks.
  4. Thou shalt not be swayed by the whims of fashion, for our aesthetic is forever and always bold.
  5. Thou shalt use thick black borders, for they are the sign of a site that means business.
  6. Thou shalt drop those pesky drop shadows with a soft focus, for only a true Neo-Brutalist shall be unforgiving.
  7. Thou shalt never, ever, use an Arial font, for those are the tools of the common folk.
  8. Thou shalt always, always, use a sans-serif font, for it is the font of the bold and the proud.
  9. Thou shalt make thy content a satire of the bland, for a true Neo-Brutalist shall never be tamed.

And so, we pledge to these commandments, for the greater good of all Neo-Brutalists.
