Germ Profile Creation: A Comprehensive Guide

Germ Profile Example

Step 1: Gather Data

  1. Collect 5ml of saliva from your subject
  2. Insert saliva into a sterile container
  3. Label the container with subject ID and date

Step 2: Enzyme Extraction

  1. Use a high-pressure vortex mixer to break down the saliva
  2. Filter the mixture through a sterile 0.22μm filter

Step 3: DNA Sequencing

  1. Use PCR to amplify target genes
  2. Send the amplified DNA to a sequencing facility

Step 4: Data Analysis

  1. Use bioinformatics software to align the data
  2. Compare the results to known germ profiles

And that's it! You now have a germ profile. Click here for more information on germ profile methodology.
