Philosophy | Footwear
Welcome to the department of footwear philosophy, where we ponder the existential crisis of sole-ful thinking. Our faculty of philosophers are experts in the fields of sole-searching, foot-ontology, and the ethics of shoe-ing.
Our research has led us to some fascinating conclusions:
- The meaning of life is found in a perfectly knotted shoelace.
- The sole of existence is the sole that binds us together.
- The foot is the ultimate symbol of freedom, and the foot is the ultimate symbol of oppression.
- The perfect shoe is the one that makes you feel like you're walking on air, but still manages to keep your feet on the ground.
Our Current Projects:
Our researchers are working on the following projects:
- Sole-searching: An exploration of the human experience through the lens of the foot.
- Foot-ontology: The study of the essence of being, as embodied by the foot.
- Shoe-ethics: The moral dilemmas of shoe-tying, shoelace-wearing, and the ethics of footwear in general.
