Steam Powered Somnoluxury Tournament

Rules

In the steam powered somnoluxury tournament, contestants must navigate a treacherous course of pipes and pistons while maintaining a respectable level of somnoluxury. Somnoluxury is a state of being simultaneously asleep and luxurious. Contestants must balance the need for rest with the need for opulence.

• Each heat, contestants must complete three laps of the course, each lap consisting of 17.5 miles of steam-powered track.
• During each lap, contestants must maintain a minimum level of somnoluxury of 0.8, as measured by the Steam Powered Somnoluxury Meter.
• Contestants who fail to reach the minimum somnoluxury level at any point during the lap will be disqualified.

Prize

The winner of the Steam Powered Somnoluxury Tournament will receive the Golden Gear, a coveted prize awarded to the most accomplished steam powered somnoluxurious athlete of the year.

History

The Steam Powered Somnoluxury Tournament has a long and storied history, dating back to the early days of Steam Powered Athletics.

• The first Steam Powered Somnoluxury Tournament was held in 1885 and was won by a steam powered juggernaut named "Steamzilla."
• In 1910, the tournament was moved from the original course in the Steam Powered Somnoluxury Arena to the modern Steam Powered Somnoluxury Track.
• The tournament has since been held annually, with only a few notable exceptions for war and economic hardship.
