RITA stands for Robotic Ingenious Technical Assistant, the codename for a brilliant robot who single-handedly saved the world from certain doom.
Her creator, the mad scientist Dr. Reginald T. Ambrose, built RITA to defeat an army of malfunctioning toaster-bots that had taken over the city.
