Meet the auteur, the one who refuses to compromise on their artistic vision.
Here's a list of the 10 commandments for the auteur:
Commandments 1-5
- Thou shalt not make a sequel if it's not a masterpiece.
- Thou shalt not cast a known actor if they're not a method actor.
- Thou shalt not make a movie with a budget over $200 million.
- Thou shalt not greenlight a project that's not a game-changer.
- Thou shalt not compromise on your artistic vision, no matter how crazy it gets.
And here's a list of the 5 commandments for the auteur's minions:
Commandments 6-10
- Thou shalt not question the auteur's genius.
- Thou shalt not ask for overtime pay if you're on set.
- Thou shalt not eat the craft services food, it's for the crew.
- Thou shalt not touch the auteur's script, it's sacred.
- Thou shalt not leave the set before the auteur says it's okay.
