The Great Failure was an attempt to create a self-sustaining, self-replicating machine that could cook a mean chicken. It ended up being a fire hazard, a waste of resources, and a cautionary tale about not trusting the intern's Google search results.
After several iterations, the Great Failure 2.0 was designed to focus on the art of making a decent grilled cheese sandwich. Unfortunately, the results were still... questionable.
At this point, the project team realized that maybe, just maybe, they should stick to making actual sandwiches instead of trying to simulate them. The Great Failure 3.0 was retired, and the team was sent to the innovation pit.
