1984-sequel: A Reviewer's Nightmare
Alice's Review: 3.5/5
Ugh, fine. Another dystopian novel from the 1984 series. This one's about the sequel to 1984, but it's just so... beige. The characters are dull, the writing is plodding, and don't even get me started on the font choice. It's like they took every cliche from the original and mashed them together into a bland, uninspired mess.
I mean, I guess it's better than 1984-sequel 2: The Return of the Sequel, but that's not saying much. I'd still rather read the original, even if it is a bit of a slog.
Still, if you're a die-hard fan of the series, I suppose this might be worth a read. But for the love of all that is good and holy, don't expect me to be impressed.
Next up: 1984-sequel 3: The Sequel to the Sequel.
