The History of Underwater Biking
It all started with our founding father, Captain Bikesalot, who had a vision of a sport that would push the human body to its absolute limits... of sanity, of endurance, and of basic human dignity.
And so, the sport of underwater biking was born. With a series of rigorous training sessions in a swimming pool, our athletes perfected the art of pedaling underwater while wearing flippers and a helmet.
The Disciplines
Underwater Biking has three main disciplines:
1. Sprinting - The 50-meter dash, where athletes compete to see who can pedal the fastest to the finish line while holding their breath.
2. Distance - The 10-kilometer swim-and-bike combo that'll leave you gasping for air... and wondering why you even signed up.
3. Freestyle - The most creative and technically-challenged discipline, where athletes compete to see who can do the most flips while pedaling, while underwater, and while maintaining a straight face.
Our Current Team Lineup
We are proud to present our team of world-class underwater bikers, including:
Steve "The Breathe-Holder", who holds the current record for holding his breath for 3 minutes 14 seconds while pedaling 100 meters underwater.
Jenny "The Flipper", who won the freestyle gold medal at the last Underwater Biking Championships by doing 17 consecutive flips while pedaling 50 meters underwater.
