January 1: Had a pint of "Winter Wonderland" at the local pub. Not as wonderful as it sounds. More like "I'm stuck in this cold, dark cave with a bunch of people who don't know the difference between a hop and a malt". 2/5.
January 2: Discovered the joys of making homemade malt syrup. Currently using it to glue my shoes together.
January 15: Visited the "Malt Museum" in nearby town. Saw some old malt barrels, a couple of antique malt whisks, and a taxidermied malt-scented squirrel. 4/5.
January 20: Accidentally ingested 3 tablespoons of raw malt extract. Now my stomach is having an existential crisis.
