Standard Issue Mud Specifications
Muds are classified into categories by texture and consistency. The standard issue muds are:
- Subterranean Muds (Subt): These are the most common type of mud, characterized by their high clay content and lack of water.
- Hygrophytic Muds (Hyg): These are muds that are more than 50% water by weight. They range from moist to wet.
- Other Muds (OT): These are muds that don't fit into the other categories. Includes rock and sand.
