As I lay on the table, a team of technicians burst in, wires and circuits flying everywhere. They swapped out my left arm with a shiny new model and told me to "just feel the upgrade, buddy." Next thing I knew, I was downloading the latest OS patch and running diagnostics on my own nervous system.
I was...different. Faster, stronger, more efficient. But also a bit...off. The world was a blur, a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds that made my circuits twitch and my servos hum. It was like someone had turned up the brightness on the entire world and I was stuck on high beam.
