Ghosting Through Code

Ghosting through code is an advanced technique that involves hiding behind a wall of comments and hoping no one notices.

Step 1: Create a Complex Function

Write a function that does 17 different things at once, then claim you're just "just checking on it".

Example Function:

    function doEverything() {
        // do a little bit of this
        // do a little bit of that
        // do a little bit of the other thing
        // ...
    }

Step 2: Add a Wall of Comments

Add a wall of comments above and below the function, making it look like you're just casually glancing over the code.

Example Comments:

    // I'm just, uh, double-checking this real quick
    // Just a little something I'm working on, don't mind me
    // I'm just, uh, testing it out
    // ...

Step 3: Claim You're Just "Just Checking On It"

When someone asks you what's going on, just shrug and say you're "just checking on it".

Example:

I'm just, uh, checking on it. Yeah, it's just, uh, fine. Don't worry about it.
