Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine: The Third and Final DisasterCrash and Burn, Again!

It was supposed to be the final test, the last hurrah, the coup de grâce. But, as we all know by now, the machine that was meant to conquer the skies ended up being a mere mortal. The one that crashed, the one that burned, the one that... left a smoldering crater in the countryside.

We're talking sparks flying every which way, flames engulfing the contraption, and the sound of crunching metal that still haunts the dreams of our beloved Leonardo. But, as he would say, 'It's not a failure, it's just a setback... for now.'

So, what's next? Well, let's just say that our hero, Leonardo, has already started sketching out some new blueprints, incorporating the lessons learned from this, ahem, 'encouraging' experience. You can see some early designs here.

Will he succeed this time? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure, the world will be watching... and probably covering its ears.
