When Sarcasm is Just a Bunch of Words
Examples of Sarcasm Gone Wrong
Here are some examples of how sarcasm can be a little too much:
- When you say "Oh great, just peachy, thanks for nothing." To the cashier as you're leaving a store without buying anything.
- When you tell your friend, "Wow, I'm so excited to do my taxes this weekend!"
- When you say, "I love how you always get to decide what I eat for dinner, mom." To your mom, who's actually just trying to get you to eat something healthy.
- When you tell a telemarketer, "Oh, I've been thinking, and I'd love to buy one of those 'I'm-not-buying-anything' insurance plans."
