Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses neural networks. But what's a neural network, you ask? Well, it's like a big ol' mess of neurons, just like your brain!

Imagine you're at a cocktail party, and there's a big bowl of peanuts on the table. Each peanut represents a data point, and the bowl represents the input layer. The peanuts get passed around the table (the network), and some of them get eaten (activated), while others don't (deactivated). It's like a big, delicious game of "Peanut Roulette"!
