Deep Dreaming: The Conclusion

And so, after countless iterations, we finally made it to the end of the line. Deep Dreaming, our attempt to teach a machine to dream, has reached its conclusion.

Or, as we like to call it, "The Point Where We Realized We're Not Actually Dreaming, But Just Really Good At Generating Random Nonsense."

We've pushed the boundaries of what's thought to be possible, only to realize that maybe we're not as clever as we thought.

But don't worry, our Deep Dreaming algorithm will live on, albeit in a slightly modified form. We're calling it "Deep Stare" from now on, as it will be staring blankly into space, generating the same old patterns, but with a hint of existential dread.

Disclaimer:

Deep Dreaming and Deep Stare are not actually capable of dreaming, nor do they possess any semblance of self-awareness. They're just fancy computer programs that generate pretty patterns. Don't try to talk to them, they won't respond.
