• Don't wear a watch that's too loud. The locals may think it's a ticking time bomb.
• Be mindful of cultural sensitivities. A '90s teenager's rendition of a historical event is not appreciated.
• Don't bring any gifts that are too... gift-giving...
• Learn a few basic phrases in the local language. 'I'm here to help, not to judge your questionable fashion choices' is a good start.
