By the great philosopher, Socky McSockface, we learn that "Society is like a sock drawer, where each sock represents an individual with its own unique thread count and propensity for snagging."
But, as we all know, the sock drawer is a metaphor for the haves and have-nots. Those with the fanciest socks (i.e., the rich and powerful) are at the top, while those with the holey, mismatched socks (i.e., the marginalized and oppressed) are at the bottom.
And so, the question remains: what is the relationship between socks and society? Is it a never-ending cycle of class struggle and foot odor? Or can we find a way to break free from the constraints of our so-called "socks" and create a more equitable, odor-free society?
