Episode 3: "The Coffee is Still Broken"
It's Monday morning, and you're still here. Congratulations. The coffee machine is still not working, and the office is still a dumpster fire. But hey, at least the fluorescent lights are still flickering in a way that's vaguely soothing, right?
As you trudge to your desk, you notice that the air conditioning vent above you is spewing forth a fine mist of stale air and regret. It's like the building itself is trying to tell you something. "You're doing it wrong," it says.
But you power through, fueled by the faint hope that today will be different. That today will be the day the copier finally starts working, or the vending machine stops dispensing expired granola bars. But no, it's just another day of existential dread and fluorescent lighting.
And then, just when you think things can't get worse, the IT guy comes by and "upgrades" your computer with the latest in office software. Because who needs functionality when you can have "streamlined" processes and "synergy"?
But wait, there's more! The new software has installed a "widget" that tracks your every move, analyzing your productivity and providing real-time feedback on your "effectiveness." Because what you really needed was more ways for your employer to remind you that you're not doing it right.
And so, another day, another dollar, another opportunity to question the very fabric of reality. Welcome to Monday Morning Melodies, where the only constant is the crushing despair.
