Making Excuses

Procrastination 101

When in doubt, claim you're busy. Even if you're not busy. Especially if you're not.

Tactic 1: The Classic "I'm in a meeting" excuse. Works like a charm. Unless you're not in a meeting.

Example:

Me: "Hey, I'm in a meeting right now."

Other Person: "But it's just you and the cat."

Me: *nervous laughter*

Tactic 2: The "I'm on a deadline" excuse. Perfect for when you're not actually on a deadline.

Example:

Me: "I'm so sorry, I'm on a deadline."

Other Person: "What's the deadline for?"

Me: "Uh... tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow."*
