Ancient Egyptian Literature

Ancient Egyptian literature was all about... well, not exactly "great literature". More like, "stories about cats".

From "The Epic of Ani", to "The Papyrus of the Dead", our ancient Egyptian authors knew how to spin a yarn about cats. Like, seriously, have you seen the cat in "The Book of the Cat Goddess"? She's a real looker.

But, let's get to the real question: did the ancient Egyptians write better than us modern folks? Probably not, but hey, who needs "literary merit" when you have cats in space?
