Phase I: The Setup

Step 1: Prepare the Battlefield

Clear the area of any distractions. Turn off the cat. Close the curtains. This is a high-stakes game.

Step 2: Establish the Narrative

Develop a compelling backstory for your bug. What motivates it? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Can it be reasoned with, or is it a lost cause?

Step 3: Set the Scene

Create a mock environment that mirrors the real one. Use a mix of props, set dressing, and clever scripting to create an immersive experience.

Step 4: Identify the Enemy

Know thy adversary. Understand its tactics, its weaknesses, and its favorite snacks. A bug that eats Cheetos is a bug that can be defeated.

Step 5: Lay Out the Plan

Develop a comprehensive strategy, taking into account the bug's MO, your own skillset, and the resources available. A good bugcatcher always has a backup plan.
