1. Don't touch the cord! This is the most important rule in the cable serial killer's rulebook. If it's not attached to a device, don't touch it. Trust us, you don't want to become a human sparkler.
2. Only use a cord tester if absolutely necessary. We know it's tempting to test every cord in the house, but let us be the cable serial killers we are.
3. Never, ever use a cord as a jump rope. We've seen it happen. It's not pretty.
