Session 2: The Chip Off the Old Block

A Therapy Session with Dr. Reginald P. Bottomsworth

Today's Session Goal: Conquering the Fears of a 40-Year-Old Man

Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Client: John D. Smith

Therapist: Dr. Reginald P. Bottomsworth

John: "I'm just so scared of... of... uh... everything."

Dr. Bottomsworth: "Fascinating! It seems you're experiencing a classic case of 'The Chip Off the Old Block' syndrome."

John: "What's that? I've never heard of it."

Dr. Bottomsworth: "Of course not, you're not a doctor! It's a rare affliction where you're terrified of anything that could potentially chip or break, from glassware to relationships to the very fabric of reality itself."

John: "I... I think I need a drink."

Dr. Bottomsworth: "Ah, an excellent decision! Our next step will be to work through your feelings about the fragility of existence, but for now, let's just focus on the immediate task at hand: acquiring a stiff drink."
