Chromatic Conundrums

Color Clarity: A Design Dilemma

When it comes to color theory, things can get pretty hazy.

Take, for instance, the Monochromatic Mixup – where a single color can look like a dozen different colors depending on the viewer's mood.

Or, the Achromatic Illusion – where a color appears to change right before your eyes, like a colorless mirage.

Why is Color so Hard?

Is it because our brains are wired to perceive a million different shades of gray, but only 12 different colors?

Or is it because designers are secretly trying to drive us all insane with their endless Color Clarity Quizzes?
