Analogous
The Color Theory of Harmony
Colors that are next to each other on the color wheel are said to be analogous, meaning they are similar or "of the same kind". This theory is based on the idea that colors that are close in hue, but not necessarily in saturation or brightness, create a harmonious and visually pleasing effect.
- Monochromatic - Colors of the same hue, but different saturation levels.
- Contrasting - Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel.
- Neutral - Colors with little or no hue.
