According to the Chroma Theorists, colors are the result of temperatures in a given environment interacting with human emotions. Red is hot, blue is cold, and yellow is "meh."

But what about the colors that defy the rules? Like Neon? They're the rebels of the color world, refusing to be tied down by conventional thermodynamics.

Color-temperature Continuum

Here's a rough estimate of the color-temperature continuum, based on the Color-Temperature Chart:

• 0°C = Black, the ultimate absence of temperature
• -10°C = Dark Grey, the coldest of colds
• +10°C = Light Grey, the warmest of wares
• 20°C = Red, the fiery passion of youth
• 40°C = Orange, the burning question of adulthood
• 60°C = Yellow, the sun-kissed optimism of middle-age
• 80°C = Green, the lush growth of wisdom
• 100°C = Blue, the icy calm of retirement
