It's a question that has plagued humanity for centuries. Like, literally, for centuries. The same jokes get told, retold, and regurgitated. When will we ever get tired of them?
Some argue it's due to our primitive brain's inability to understand subtlety. Others claim it's because we're all secretly sadists, taking pleasure in the suffering of others. But we think it's because... the truth is more complicated than that.
Or maybe it's just because we're all actually aliens trying to understand human humor... or not.
