Appendix B: The Paradoxical Parakeet

As we all know, meetings are the lifeblood of any committee. Or so we thought. It turns out, the Paradoxical Parakeet is here to disrupt our understanding of time and space.

The Paradoxical Parakeet is a creature so cunning that it has managed to attend every single meeting in our committee's history, and yet it has never actually been seen. Its presence is felt, however, in the form of:

• Endless minutes to read and discuss;
• Unending agendas that seem to shift and writhe like a living thing;
• Decisions that are made, then unmade, then remade;
• A never-ending quest for coffee;

We have attempted to capture the Paradoxical Parakeet in various ways, but it has proven to be as elusive as a will-o'-the-wisp.

We are, of course, not giving up. We will continue to study the Paradoxical Parakeet, to understand its secrets, and to find a way to tame its wildness.

Appendix D: The Paradoxical Parakeet Tamer will explore the next stage in our research, where we attempt to communicate with the creature in a language it can understand.
