Section 3: Foosball Tournament Rules
The Rules, Man!
As a competitor in the Foosball Tournament, you are expected to abide by the following rules:
- Be prepared to lose, frequently and spectacularly.
- No using the ball as a projectile, unless absolutely necessary (see rule 7.3).
- No using your opponents as human pinball flippers (see rule 8.1).
- No attempting to "accidentally" on-purpose knock over your opponent's table (see rule 9.5).
Special Rules
Rules 6.1-7.2 are special rules, and are only applicable during the final round:
- 6.1. In the event of a tie, the winner shall be determined by a game of rock-paper-scissors, played with the ball.
- 6.2. If the winner of the game of rock-paper-scissors is also the winner of the tournament, they shall be awarded an additional trophy.
- 7.1. In the event that both players are unable to move, the game shall be restarted from the beginning.
- 7.2. The player who restarts the game shall receive a free ball.
- 7.3. The use of the ball as a projectile is only allowed when the opponent's table is on fire (see rule 9.3).
Penalties
Any player who breaks a rule shall be subject to a penalty, which may include but is not limited to:
- Disqualification
- Fines
- Loss of points
