Committee on Semicolon Usage

Subcommittee on Semicolon Usage in Committee Minutes

As a subcommittee of the Committee on Committee-on-Communications, we have been tasked with investigating the proper use of semicolons in committee minutes.

Our findings have been... illuminating. We've discovered that some members of this committee are using semicolons as a way to express their disdain for their fellow committee members.

Example:

"I'm not sure I agree with the previous statement; I think it's a load of hooey."

We're working to address this issue and provide clearer guidelines for semicolon usage in the future.
