Whenever someone asks you for your "reporting line," just shrug and say "Oh, I'm on the team that's supposed to fix everything, but also report to the team that's supposed to fix everything else."
Avoid getting lost in the hierarchy by asking for an intern to walk you through the org chart. They'll love the extra responsibility!
