Sock Case #1: The Great Sock Migration
It is a little-known fact that socks have a tendency to escape the washing machine and migrate to a parallel dimension. This phenomenon has been observed on numerous occasions, leaving behind a trail of single, bereft socks in their wake.
Case #1: John, a hapless college student, was on a road trip when he noticed his favorite socks had vanished during the wash cycle. Upon returning home, he found them in a bizarre, alternate reality where they were being worn by a group of sentient, sock-wielding aliens.
