31. The Misadventures of a Mouse
A tale of woe and cheese, of holes and despair.
In a world where mice ruled supreme, one mouse dared to venture forth.
He found himself in a labyrinthine maze, with no cheese in sight.
His whiskers twitched with rage, his paws a-quiver with fear.
He stumbled upon a hidden path, and with a squeak of triumph, he...
...fell down a well.
A well of despair, of lost dreams, of soggy cheese.
Our hero, the mouse, lay there, his paws in the air.
He vowed to never again seek out the cheese of his youth.
But, alas, his love of cheese was too strong.
He rose up, dusted off, and set forth once more.
For in the words of the great Mouse Philosopher, "A mouse must eat cheese."
Or, in this case, "A mouse must not fall down wells."
Or, "A mouse must not seek out cheese if it's going to get wet and miserable."
But, I digress.
For in the end, our hero emerged from the well, wiser and more cautious, with a newfound appreciation for the dangers of cheese seeking.
And so, the tale of 31, the misadventures of a mouse, comes to an end.
