Mission Statement
Our subcommittee is tasked with investigating the paradoxical nature of policy-making. We seek to identify the contradictions that arise when committee members simultaneously believe in and deny the same thing.
We have been known to convene in a smoke-filled room, surrounded by the faint scent of burnt coffee, to discuss the finer points of sophistry.
Current Projects
We are currently studying the paradox of the "double-negative" policy, prophets of which promise both that something will happen and that it will not.
Our research has also led us to develop the "Sophism-ometer", a device that measures the degree to which a statement is simultaneously true and false.
