Warning: Do Not Enter Without Proper Training
As a seasoned hamster enthusiast, you know that hamster holes can be a real hazard. That's why we've put together these guidelines to keep you safe while navigating the treacherous tunnels and burrows of your average hamster habitat.
Pre-Entry Checklist
- Wear proper hamster-holing attire, including a hard hat, safety goggles, and a respirator.
- Ensure you have at least 3 hours of hamster hole experience before attempting to enter.
- Know the location of the nearest emergency exit.
Hamster Hole Hazards
- Unstable tunnel geometry
- Tunnel collapse
- Hamster-induced tunnel collapse
- Unidentified hamster species
Emergency Procedures
- In the event of a tunnel collapse, stay calm and slowly back away from the affected area.
- If you encounter an unidentified hamster species, remain still and make no sudden movements.
- For all other emergencies, contact Hamster Hole Rescue Squad (HHS) at 1-800-HAMSTER-1.
