2023-01-15 Meeting Minutes: Bake Sale Committee

Attendees:

Present: Bob, Carol, Dave, and the Chairperson (who shall remain nameless)

Agenda:

1. Discussion of the importance of using only organic butter in our baked goods

It was decided that using organic butter is a must, but only if the price difference is less than $1.50 per unit. Otherwise, we'll stick with regular butter. The Chairperson noted that this is not about being "hippie" or "granola-y" but about supporting local farmers and having a good excuse to charge more for our baked goods.

2. The fate of the "Cupcake Tower" project

We will still do it, but only if we can use the "Cupcake Tower 2.0" template, which has been redesigned to use less sugar and more sprinkles. The original template is a "design disaster" and will not be considered.

Action Items:

1. Bob will call the local farmer to discuss organic butter prices

2. Carol will design the new template for the "Cupcake Tower 2.0"

3. The Chairperson will schedule the bake sale for next month, with a goal of selling at least 500 cupcakes
