And so, it began. The birth of a red tape, that is. A tangled web of forms, permits, and petty regulations that would ensnare the dreams of even the most ambitious of souls.
It all started with the introduction of the Bureaucratic Red Tape Act of 1956, a sweeping piece of legislation that mandated the use of red tape in all government offices.
This was followed by the Red Tape Amendments of 1980, which updated the original act to include provisions for online submissions and digital forms.
And so, the stage was set for a future of red tape that would rival the great pyramids of Egypt in its complexity and majesty.
